Start with a bounded request
Send what you have — a design brief, field sketches, GIS/CAD files, pole data or a spreadsheet. Informal inputs are fine; undocumented assumptions are not.

A named engineer reviews the request before commercial terms are issued: jurisdiction, standards, field-verification dependencies, software and format requirements, and who owns each decision.

Agree the SOW and acceptance criteria
Work begins only once a written Statement of Work sets deliverables, assumptions, schedule, price, acceptance checklist and the Engineer-of-Record boundary. The original inquiry is not the scope.

Onboard the client's standards
Before volume production, your sample package, CAD/GIS standard and review expectations become a project-specific checklist, so the first package is checked against written requirements rather than preference.

Produce with visible controls
The team works against the approved scope. An assumptions register and RFI log keep open questions visible, and scope changes are recorded before they're incorporated — not buried in the drawing set.

Independent QA before release
A self-check by the producing engineer is followed by an independent reviewer checking input integrity, technical conformance, cross-document consistency and constructability against the SOW.

Deliver, review and close out
You receive the agreed files under a controlled transmittal. Comments are logged, revisions reissued with a new status, and closeout confirms final files and any open exceptions.

What a controlled package contains.
The exact package is defined in the SOW. Depending on the assignment, that may include:
- • HLD/LLD, route, permit or construction drawing packages
- • Fiber/PON architecture, splice documentation, cable schedules
- • GIS/CAD datasets and KMZ/KML exports
- • BOM/BOQ, quantity summaries and calculation sheets
- • As-built conversion, QA evidence and revision history
- • A controlled closeout transmittal
Authoring and review formats, and whether access is Pathworks-held or client-hosted, are agreed in the SOW before work begins.
